A new web version of ProgressionLIVE will be released soon!

This Web 4.71 Update  is mainly about displaying an unread priority comment when opening a task and creating email templates to send to the client from a task. We update regularly to provide you with a better experience with ProgressionLIVE dispatch software.

This update will be deployed starting April 22, 2019.

Displaying an unread priority comment when opening a task

On November 1st, we deployed a new feature to display a priority comment when opening a task on our mobile application.

So, at the great request of our users, we are now deploying the same process for our web interface. Indeed, it will now be possible to create a priority comment and it will appear at each opening of the task as long as the button Mark as read is not clicked.

In summary, a priority comment is visible to all users who open the task as a result of its creation, until it is marked as read.

Create a priority comment

Web Update

  1. In a task, click the Comments tab
  2. Click Add
  3. Check the High priority box
  4. Write your message in the Comment field
  5. Click Save

Displaying the comment

  1. By clicking Mark as read, the message will no longer be displayed for any user.
  2. Clicking Close will discard the message, but it will reappear when the task will be re-open.

Creating email templates to send to the client from a task

We have developed a new feature that allows you to create email templates. You can, from a task, send an email with or without the PDF and attachments, depending on the template you have created.

You can change the text formatting:

  • – Change the font and its color;
  • – Text in bold, italic, underlined or highlighted;
  • – Enlarge or reduce the size of the font;
  • – Align text to left, right or center;
  • – Insert a hypertext link;
  • – Create a numbered or bullet list;

You can also add fields from the task:

  • – Name and address of the client or location;
  • – Code, type and state of the task;
  • – Date of creation and last update of the task;
  • – Summary and description of the task;
  • – Name of the human resource;
  • – Date and time of the appointment;
  • – Subtotal or total of the task;
  • – Dynamic properties and custom fields to the task type;
  • – etc.

WARNING: The Configuration section may only be accessible to administrators and should be used with caution! Changing a setting in another section may cause your account to malfunction. Fees may apply to restore the situation. If you have any questions about an item from Configuration section, please contact our technical support.

Creating the email template

  1. Access the Configuration menu
  2. Click Mail Templates
  3. Click Add
  4. Enter the name of your template in the Name field (without spaces, hyphens or special characters)
  5. Enter the subject of your email in the Subject field
  6. Enter your message in the Template field
  7. Click Save

Association of the model with the type of task

  1. Access the Configuration menu
  2. Click Task types
  3. Double-click the type of task you want to associate the email template with
  4. Select the desired email template from the drop-down menu in the Mail Template field.
  5. Click Save

Sending the email to your customer

  1. In a task, click Send by email
  2. Enter the email address (es) to which you want to send the email in the Sent to field. (comma-separated)
  3. Check, if necessary, the boxes to include the PDF or attachments of the task
  4. Click Send

In case of reply from your client

It is important to note that if your customer replys to your email, it will be sent to the main email address of the account. It is possible to modify it by contacting our technical support.

This Android 2.21 Update is about finding a value in dynamic properties when scanning a product’s barcode. We update regularly to provide you with a better experience with ProgressionLIVE dispatch software.

Finding a barcode in dynamic properties

Before this update – when adding an item to billing via barcode – the scanned value was searched for in the code, product name and description respectively.

Now, when scanning the barcode of a product, the value will be searched for in its dynamic properties (custom fields), after checking the other three fields mentioned above.

Adding a route icon when a dynamic property is an address

When a dynamic property is detected as an address type, an icon will appear opposite to open a third-party route application.

In order to be detected as an address type, a dynamic property must have been configured with keywords such as: civic, street, city, apartment, province, country, and so on.

This Web Update 4.70 is mainly about adding a data loss alert if a task is already dispatched. We update regularly to provide you with a better experience with ProgressionLIVE dispatch software.

This update will be deployed starting March 24, 2019.

Data loss alert if the task is already dispatched

Have you ever modified a task when it was already dispatched to your employee on the road? If so, your changes may not have been synced to your employee’s mobile device. They may have even been crushed by the latter, because of the priority of mobiles in such a context.

That’s why we have added a warning at the top of each task when the task’s state is between states 200 and 600 (exclusively). State 200 means that the task is dispatched and state 600 means that the task is completed. In summary, this warning disappears when the task is progressed to state 600.

In short, the warning will be as follows: “Warning! This task is currently dispatched, changes will not be automatically synchronized and may be overwritten by (Human Resource).”

Indeed, if a modification to a task is performed while it is already dispatched, but not completed, the data entered on the web interface will not synchronize automatically on the mobile device of the associated human resource. In addition, the latter could overwrite this information by modifying the task directly on his mobile.

However, it is important to know that this information banner only serves to notify the dispatcher or administrator that the task is already dispatched. Thus, it will still be possible to make changes to the task, but the risk of data loss will be present.

Disabling associated recurrences if a client or location is disabled

Depending on the configuration of your account (by your project manager), it will now be possible to disable the recurrences associated with a client or a location at its deactivation.

Thus, by agreeing to update the recurrence or recurrences associated with a client or a location to its deactivation, this causes the change of the end date of the recurrence for the current date.

However, each ProgressionLIVE account has three (3) possible configurations for this new feature. Indeed, your project manager can set the Ask, Auto or Never configuration.

  • Ask: ProgressionLIVE will always ask you if you want to disable the associated recurrence (s).
  • Auto: ProgressionLIVE will automatically disable the associated recurrence (s). Also applicable to import or sync with your accounting system.
  • Never: Will not ask you if you want to disable them and will not disable them automatically. They will remain active unless you manually disable them.

Please note that the associated recurrences will not be automatically reactivated when the client or location is reactivated. You will have to reactivate them manually. You must contact your project manager or technical support to modify this configuration.

Among other things, we changed the navigation of our menu to highlight ProgressionLIVE’s features and blog. We also added a button to make an appointment for a presentation of the software by an expert. Enhanced and added features include:

  • The addition of the packages on our homepage for a quicker visualization of our service offer in a transparent way;
  • The addition of video testimonials from our customers;
  • Adding a contact form on our homepage so you can write to us faster;
  • An update of the members of our team;

New iOS 1.40 Update on Apple Store

This ProgressionLIVE iOS 1.40 update is mainly about adding some features. We update regularly to provide you with a better experience with ProgressionLIVE dispatch software.

Refresh a task

Some users have asked to be able to force a task or list of time entries of a task to refresh on their iPhone or iPad. Thus, we added a function to force their synchronization by dragging down on their device.

The “Item Types” popup is hidden if there is only one type of item configured

When adding an item to an invoice and there was only one type of item configured, the “Item Type” popup was displayed and one item type had to be selected . However, this popup is out of date in a such situation, as the item should be redirected directly to the item type in question. We therefore disabled the display of this popup in accounts of customers who only had one type of task. (See picture below)

After: If several types of tasks are configured, this popup appears, otherwise it is hidden.

Showing tasks with / without icon

Some ProgressionLIVE users wanted the ability to show or hide icons in the task list. So we added the configuration “Show icons in the task list” which, by default, is disabled. Thus, the icons will not be displayed until it is activated. (See picture below)

The icons are displayed to the left of the task with the background color of the task status.

Ability to add an attachment from the library

Some users have expressed interest in adding an attachment, such as a photo, directly from their cell phone photo library. Thus, we added a “Photo Library” button in the attachment list. (See picture below)

Added a “+” button in the bottom bar of the search engine of the product catalog

IOS mobile app users can now create a non-product-related item from the Product Finder (Catalog) window. (See picture below)

In previous iOS versions, time entries had to be done by specifying a start time and an end time. However, some users wanted to be able to enter a number of hours into a time entry without having to set a start and end time. We have therefore decided to comply with this request by allowing a direct time entry.

Indeed, the name and the description of the items should correspond respectively to the name and description of the products. For example, we changed the label “Description” of an item to “Name”. Downloading batch attachments

Attachment downloading can be a tedious process. Especially when there are several files to transfer in a task on ProgressionLIVE. So, under the suggestion of some customers, we have inserted a feature into our classic version. Indeed, this function allows the download of several attachments at once. In short, this will speed up the processing time of adding attachments in tasks. Which will increase your productivity.

Time-Sheet Module.
A new time-sheet button has been added on the mobile app. This button allows the user to consult, add or modify his time entries.

Helpers can now see task without modification authorization.
It is now possible to add a helper to a task. This function allow the user to visualize the task on his mobile device without being able to modify it. Also, the helper can create a time-sheet for himself for this task.

Attaching files from a mobile device.
It is now possible to add a file from the mobile device internal memory.
